Update 20 – Fixed Unity Vulnerability
Space: 1999 VR » Devlog
The Unity game engine is the last link in the chain of tools that I use to create this virtual experience. The developers of Unity discovered a potential security vulnerability in projects built with older versions of the game engine dating back to 2017. There are very few changes made to this “Update 20” other than to re-build the project with a patched version of Unity.
This is a precautionary measure as there have been no known exploits of the vulnerability and everyone should feel confident in their enjoyment of these virtual environments just as they always have. It’s the nuclear stockpile on the far side of the moon that we really need to worry about ;-)
